Meet Abrams Homestead Farms, the farm that grew the potatoes in your bag.
Tater Tidbit: Ronny Abrams and his brother Raymond, farm land that has been in their family for over 100 years. The farm has been supplying Campbell’s with produce for nearly as long – their grandfather used to bring tomatoes to Camden, NJ via horse and buggy. Ronny and Raymond each have a son working on the farm who are proud, fourth-generation farmers. Today, Abrams Homestead Farms grows potatoes, carrots, corn, and soybeans.
Sustainable Spud: Ronny uses several regenerative practices, including:
🌱 Planting Cover Crops: adds protective cover, carbon-rich matter, and plant diversity that build soil health.
🐝 Maintaining Pollinator Habitats: supports bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
💧 Using Soil Moisture Sensors: helps farmers to steward their use of irrigation water.
🌼 Practicing edge-of-field management: prevents field runoff to conserve soil and water.
